A mindfulness training offers tools to live more fully and to lose yourself less in the difficult things that you inevitably encounter, especially in this time of change and pandemic. Sometimes it rains and sometimes the sun shines. Mindfulness helps to appreciate both the rain and the sun in your life.
In 8 sessions you learn to live more intensely and consciously. It is a training in attention. Mindfulness therefore does not aim to make you feel better, but to make you feel better… You get more distance from your thoughts and are less swept along by all the thoughts that come along one day. You get more inner peace and get less into the drama of your thoughts and feelings.
Marieke is Category 1 Mindfulness training registered with the VMBN (the professional association), and is also a trainer of the Basic Mindfulness trainer training at See True. She came into contact with Mindfulness when she had a burnout herself, and now it has become a regular part of her life and it is a foundation from which she lives and works.
She gives Mindfulness training to groups at See True, online and face-to-face in Maastricht (Deutschepoort 13a). There is also the possibility to follow an individual training or a training in a small group. This can also be done online (via the ZOOM platform, AVG proof, and easy and free to install).
I am glad that Marieke guided me through the mindfulness training. Although I already had experience with meditation in the Goenka Vipassana tradition, I gained new insights during the group lessons with Marieke. She has answered all my (sometimes skeptical) questions calmly and often responded with a counter question: How does it feel when you have doubts (about mindfulness)? What is happening in your body? Can you pause for a moment? These kinds of questions helped me see my thoughts from a different perspective and recognize patterns in my questions or doubts from a distance. I am convinced that a change of perspective depends on an expert trainer; not just from the mindfulness practice itself. Marieke created a group atmosphere in which I felt safe and free to share my thoughts. I especially appreciate that she also did this when the corona pandemic broke out in the Netherlands and we continued the training online. It was important for me to be able to continue the training during this time. Thank you, Marie!
Individual Mindfulness training (also online)
It is possible to follow an individual mindfulness training of 8 weekly meetings. That means that the mindfulness training is completely tailored to you personal, but you will miss the power of group training.
You can do the individual training online follow via ZOOM or (if possible) on location in Maastricht.
The individual training costs €600 for private individuals or self-employed persons, including workbook and VAT.
The employer rate is € 800 including workbook and VAT.
Buddy Training (also online)
You can follow an 8-week mindfulness training with your partner, friend, family or friends. New and familiar, with 2, 3 or 4 participants.
This can online via zoom take place or if possible Location in Maastricht.
The buddy training costs:
2 persons: € 500 pp
3 persons: € 450 pp
4 persons: € 400 pp
